Here are the updates as our SMLL all-star teams compete in the district tournaments:

Over the weekend the 8-9 baseball team went down fighting in a 6-2 loss to Oak Creek in their opening game. They finished the season with a loss to Burlington on Tuesday. The 8-9 team was made up of mostly first time all stars.

The 9-10 baseball team started off their tournament with a big win against Greenfiled on Saturday 9-0. On Sunday the team encountered Kenosha American team and lost 10-3. They play tonight in Kenosha against the Kenosha National team @6pm.

The 10-11 baseball began their tournament by beating Franklin 15-2. The team had a total of three homeruns, two of them hit by Hector and one hit by John. Next game is on Wednesday, July 12th at 6pm against Kenosha American at Kenosha Sports Complex.

The 11-12 baseball team began tournament play on Saturday with a win against Greenfield 14-2. They played and lost to Burlington on Sunday. Next game up is against Kenosha American at the Lakeland Little League Complex tonight at 6:00.

Intermediate team began competition on Saturday with a win against Lakeland 18-12. The team’s following game was a tough loss against Oak Creek. The team’s final game was another tough loss on Tuesday against the Burlington team.

Senior baseball team began their tournament with a win against Franklin 18-1 on Saturday. On Sunday the team lost to Oak Creek. The team followed up the loss with another win against Franklin 10-3 to advance to the championship game against Oak Creek tonight at 6:00 @ Cerutti Field in Oak Creek. Since the tournaments are a double elimination – If SM wins they will play the ‘if’ game at 8pm. Good Luck!

Junior baseball team begins their tournament on Wednesday 7/12 at Oak Creek @ 6:00 vs Felix Mantilla.

8-9 Softball team began their tournament with a win against Oak Creek 8-7. They fell short on Sunday against Franklin 10-12. The team again played Oak Creek on Monday and again won 8-7 which advanced them to the championship game tonight at Franklin Little League Complex 6:00 against Franklin. If SM wins they will force the ‘if’ game on Tuesday.

9-10 Softball team won their opening game on Saturday vs Franklin 17-2. Sunday they played and lost to a tough Oak Creek team. Monday they played and beat Franklin 10-0 to advance to the championship game tonight at 8:00 vs Oak Creek @ the Franklin Little League Complex. If SM wins tonight they play the ‘if’ game on Wednesday @ 8:00.

The Major Softball division only had two teams competing this year. This meant it was a best of 3 series. Oak Creek took the first game 10-0 on Saturday. SM pulled out a close one on Sunday 13-12. This forced the championship game on Monday which Oak Creek pulled out.

Junior Softball division also had only two teams competing. Despite the good fight the junior softball team put up Oak Creek won the first two games of the series.

If you can come out and support our kids we know they would appreciate it.

Win or lose our teams have represented SMLL in a positive manner. This is not only a reflection on our coaches but our kids and parents as well.

Thank You
SMLL Board
